A Legacy of Care

Welcome to Manor on 1st. As the founder, owner, and an operator of this unique community, I am thrilled to introduce myself and share the vision behind my approach to assisted living.

For over 20 years I have served as a primary care physician and a hospice/palliative care physician within patients’ homes and various assisted living facilities. This extensive experience has been my greatest teacher, offering profound insights into the evolving priorities, wants, and desires of patients as their life goals change. I have listened closely to what truly matters to residents and their families, and now we are bringing this vision to life.

At Manor on 1st, every residents has the direct benefit of these two decades of focused experience, as I oversee the facility and also personally offer on-site concierge medical care to residents. This allows us to offer continuous, high-quality healthcare delivered by a physician who intimately understands the nuances of aging and the importance of personalized dignity and comfort.

Manor on 1st is more than a facility; it is a home designed around the specific needs I have identified throughout my career. A place where clinical expertise, compassionate care, and residents’ wishes are truly prioritized. I look forward to personally ensuring the well-being of every resident who calls Manor on 1st home.

Everyone has a story of how they came to work in assisted living. For me it was growing up close with both of my grandmothers. My relationship with them inspired a deep appreciation for older generations, and led me to study social work and eventually pursue a career in Senior Living.

Today, I lead the Manor alongside Mark with our shared belief that it’s a relationship-based approach to care that makes every resident truly feel at home. I bring more than 11 years of experience in senior housing to the team, with both community- and regional-level experience. These experiences have given me valuable insight into how successful communities operate across states as we build the premiere assisted living in Utah.

Creating Manor on 1st is the most exciting part of my journey yet, and I look forward to putting my two greatest passions to work here—connecting with people and making a meaningful difference in their lives—as we build something truly unique for our members.
